Out of all the promises that an employer can make to an employee, those involving $ should be considered with utmost priority.

Why? Because employees have reached the point that out of all the options out there on the open market, they've chosen you. What exactly have they chosen you for? Out of the many possibilities, the most important is that they've agreed to trade their one truly limited resource, their time, with you, in exchange for monetary compensation.

Don't fuck with this. Never fuck with someone's confidence that you are the best option they have for this time to money exchange.

Underpromise, overdeliver. Pay on time.
